How It All Began
The Bookstore was founded in 1957 by Nikolaos Konis under the name of "ΦΩΣ" Bookstore.
Initially it started with religious, children's, educational books, stationery, religious pictures and maps. Slowly the Bookstore grew, enriched and became a bookstore business with attention to the distribution of good and soulful books. With the arrival of Konstantinos, the eldest son of the Conis family, in 1971, the business laid a solid foundation for growth and became active in many new areas. In 1979, the company was created under the name of NIKOLAOS KONIS & SONS LTD, which remained under the same name until 1993, when it was renamed as SONS OF NIKOLAOS KONIS LTD with the entry of the youngest son of the Konis family, George.
The company grew, developed and dealt with many new items such as handicrafts, paintings, computer consumables, but always faithful to the principles of the founder Nikolaos Konis. In 2016 the company is called KONIS LTD and has in its staff people from the third generation , Nikos and Pericles.
